ABC Buys 'Late Bloomer's Revolution,' Laura Solon Comedy

ABC continues its relationship with Gossip Girl producer Alloy Entertainment with two comedy orders. The Disney-owned network has ordered Late Bloomer's Revolution and untitled half-hour family comedy from English comedian Laura Solon, both from Alloy in association with Warner Bros. Television. It will revolve around a father and daughter who are both trying to navigate the dating world at the same time after the passing of the respective wife and mother. Cohen(Caroline in the City, Spin City)will write and executive produce with Michelle Nader (King of Queens, Two Broke Girls), Alloy's Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo. (At one point, Sarah Jessica Parker was attached to a film version at HBO.) The untitled project centers on three adult siblings whose dynamic is unsetltled when their loving, but interfering mother Nancy decides to move to the city where they all live and become a reactivated presence in their daily lives. Alloy's Morgenstein and Girolamo are attaced as executive producers. The news comes mere weeks after the network snapped up 666 Park,based on the book series byGabriella Pierce.If ultimately ordered, the new crop will join Alloy's growing roster, including the CW'sGossip Girl, Vampire DiariesandThe Secret Circleas well as ABC Family'sPretty Little Liarsand the recently uppedThe Lying Game.
